Late Summer Striper Fishing Texoma 2017

We are in the Dog Days of Summer, and Lake Texoma Striper fishing is GREAT!  If you enjoy top-water fishing for Striper, book a trip now!  We are finding big schools of Striper and White Bass in the early morning and late afternoons!  These big schools are pushing threadfin shad to the surface and making a top-water plug Striper Candy!  This top-water action will last an hour or so, then we are moving into 20-25 feet of water and dropping slab spoons on very nice sized Striper to finish our trips!  Don’t forget swimbaits!  The Striper swimbait bite is strong all day on Lake Texoma.  We are catching very nice Striper in the AM on small swimbaits from 5 feet to 10 feet of water!  Lure Fishing is great on Lake Texoma this summer!  Come catch with us before your kids go back to school!  Follow How to Catch Striper on Lake Texoma for more great fishing tips

Striper Fish Lake Texoma with Captain Steve Buckley

The dog days of summer are on the way out, but Striper fishing on Lake Texoma is great!  We are catching some smaller fish on topwater plugs, but that season is still a week or two away!  We are still putting nice Striper in the net with Slab Spoons and smaller swimbaits in the morning and throughout the day!  We have had some very nice live bait trips too!  We are finding some larger Striper drifting threadfin and gizzard shad in 20 feet of water!  As the temperatures cool off, the Striper fishing will improve!  We have had a great Summer Season on Lake Texoma and are anticipating a GREAT FALL and WINTER campaign!

We are on a strong topwater and slab spoon bite and are catching some very nice Striper even with the summer heat!  The last big summer holiday is near, and the Big Fish Top-Water bite will become our focus!  If you like to throw large pencil popper plugs and catch big Striper, September is the time to fish Lake Texoma!  Book your trip now and enjoy some great top-water action this September!

Fall is on the Way on Lake Texoma

When summer finally decides to go away, the catching will only get better!  The fall top-water season is here, and we are finding big striper shallow on sandy points!  These fish are pushing bait shallow and will take a big top-water plug and or a swimbait on a light jighead!  We have had a few live bait trips that are producing some very nice striper in 15 to 20 feet of water!  We have also caught a few very nice blue catfish too!
