Water is stained, the lake is 4 and half feet high. The water temperature is 72-77 degrees. Striper fishing has been really good. We’ve been catching big ones on bait and lures. Shiner minnows and slabs are working really well right now. We’ve also had some big white bass mixed in. Largemouth bass are good on topwaters, jigs, and baby brushhogs. Crappy fishing is fair with live minnows. You can find catfish deep on cut bait.
Things were starting to warm up, but we had a small cool front come in this weekend. Winds are NNW Gusting from 15-30 today. The water temp has come up in to the low 60’s. The main lake is between 61-64 degrees right now. Lake level is right at normal. Largemouth bass fishing is good on soft plastics and medium crankbaits. Striped Bass are good now, still catching plenty off the bottom using our jigs. They can also be caught with slabs and shiner minnows. We’re still getting some big blue catfish mixed in with some of the Stipers. Tune in next week for another Lake Texoma Fishing Report.
